project
A forest retreat near the city.
Planned for a family of four who value nature and simplicity, Mato House embodies functionality, comfort, and a deep connection to its landscape. Large windows frame the forest outside, while the interior is defined by soft, natural colors and practical, low-maintenance materials. The design creates a peaceful environment rooted in its setting, offering a serene balance between contemporary living and its natural context.
woodland magic
Clean lines, muted tones, and natural materials define the architecture, creating an atmosphere of quiet simplicity and everyday comfort. The palette is subtle but warm—soft greys, light oak, and gentle textures—allowing the changing seasons outside the window to take centre stage.
The heart of the home is the double-height open space with a view towards the forest. Custom-designed wooden furniture, soft lighting, and a minimal yet tactile aesthetic offer a sense of calm that invites you to slow down. A seamless transition between indoor and outdoor areas reinforces the house’s connection to nature, while smart zoning ensures functionality for family life.
