The Design-Lovers Travel Guide to Copenhagen

For a long time, my website and blog were built with Flothemes. It was a platform I trusted and enjoyed using, especially for its clean design and editorial feel. It supported my content, my writing, and the visual identity of my brand well.

Over time, however, Flothemes announced changes to their business model and the discontinuation of active theme development and support. While my existing website continued to function, this shift encouraged me to pause and reflect on the long-term direction of my online presence.

Rather than reacting in a hurry, I decided to look for a solution that would better support my website in the years to come.

Looking for a Long-Term Website Solution

When I started exploring alternatives, my priority was not only design, but stability.

As a small brand owner, I don’t have the flexibility to frequently migrate my website or adapt to sudden platform changes. I wanted a setup that feels reliable, well-supported, and built with long-term use in mind.

That led me to two important decisions:

  • to choose a large, reliable hosting provider with a strong technical foundation
  • to select a template creator that builds specifically for that platform, and focuses entirely on doing it well

This approach brought me to Tonic Site Templates.

Why I Chose Tonic

Tonic immediately stood out for its thoughtful design system and flexibility. The templates are structured, yet open enough to allow creative freedom — something that is essential for the way I work.

What I appreciate most about Tonic is:

  • flexibility without complexity
  • layouts that feel modern, calm, and editorial
  • a structure that supports both content and visuals
  • a platform designed to evolve, not stay static

Instead of adjusting my content to fit a template, I can shape the website in a way that reflects my work naturally.

A Better Balance Between Design and Function

For me, a website is not just a technical tool — it is a space that communicates values, aesthetics, and intention.

With Tonic, I feel that balance more clearly. The platform allows me to focus on creating and refining content, rather than managing constant technical concerns. It supports growth, updates, and visual changes without feeling fragile or restrictive.

Final Thoughts

This transition from Flothemes to a Tonic site template was not about leaving something behind, but about moving forward with clarity.

Choosing a stable hosting environment and a flexible, well-supported template has given me confidence that my website can grow alongside my work — without unnecessary interruptions.

If you are considering a similar transition, I hope this perspective helps you approach it calmly, strategically, and with long-term vision.

Working With Brands on Digital Growth

In addition to my own creative work, one of my core specializations is digital business development for brands.

Years of working in the IT and digital space have given me a strong technical foundation — an understanding of systems, platforms, and structure. At the same time, I deeply believe that creativity requires something entirely different: time, calm, imagination, and space to create.

This balance is exactly what I bring into my work with clients.

I offer website design and development services, and I’m happy to build custom websites using Tonic site templates, carefully adapted to each brand’s identity, goals, and rhythm — never one-size-fits-all.

Beyond digital services, I also offer photography, styling, and brand development strategy. Every project is approached both emotionally and strategically: with sensitivity for aesthetics and storytelling, supported by technical knowledge and clear structure.

Many clients tell me this is what feels different — the ability to combine creative intuition with technical expertise. In a world where people are often either creative or technical, I consciously work at the intersection of both.

If you’re looking for a thoughtful, well-structured, and visually refined approach to your brand’s digital presence, feel free to get in touch. I’d love to explore how we can shape something meaningful together.
